Explore Marlborough is the only fully guided bike tour company in the region offering guided cycling wine tours of the Marlborough wine region. Our vineyard cycle tours visit a selection of the regions best wineries and galleries. We aim to take you off the main roads and along some of the quieter country roads, through private vineyards and along the river stop-banks. Biking from winery to winery allows you to truly experience the beauty of the Marlborough wine region and the stunning mountain scenery that surrounds the valley. Your Marlborough wine tour includes one of our enthusiastic guides who informs you about the surrounding area, the history, the wineries and wines throughout the day.

 

Bike the Vines Full day tourbook

Runs Daily - 9.30am to 3.30pm

Our mission is to make your day as enjoyable as possible. We will pick you up from your accommodation in the morning and take you to our starting point.  After ensuring that you are set up with bikes and helmets we set off for a relaxing day of touring the local wineries. The pace is leisurely and the terrain is gentle, ensuring easy riding. The off road riding through the vineyards and along the stop-banks is across hard packed earth covered with grass or gravel and is easy to bike by all skill levels.
Along the way we visit:

• Grove Mill Winery -  The first carboNZero winery in the world. They not only have a great selection of wines but also a stunning wetland which has become a haven for native bird life as well as one of the region's best contemporary art galleries
• Seresin Estate - an organic winery and olive oil producer owned by renowned NZ cinematographer Michael Seresin
• Wairau River Winery where we enjoy a long slow lunch in their award-winning restaurant
• Bladen Winery  - a small boutique family run winery.
• After lunch we visit the small boutique family run Huia Winery or head to Herzog winery where we get a tour of the winery and their world class restaurant

The tour finishes around 3.30pm and we drive you back to your accommodation.

Price = $275 per person  ( reduces to $250pp for 3 or more people ) includes bikes, transport to and from accommodation, an Explore Marlborough drink bottle, morning tea and winery restaurant lunch.
