Explore Marlborough is the only fully guided bike tour company in the region offering guided day tours of the wine region by bike. Our bike tours visit a selection of the regions best wineries and galleries. We aim to take you off the main roads and along some of the quieter country roads, through private vineyards and along the river stop-banks. Your tour includes one of our enthusiastic guides who informs you about the surrounding area, the history, the wineries and wines throughout the day.

 

Bike the Vines Full day tourbook

Runs Daily - 9.30am to 3.30pm

Our mission is to make your day as enjoyable as possible. A minivan will pick you up from your accommodation in the morning and take you to our starting point. The tour is designed to cover about 10km of very easy flat riding. The off road riding through the vineyards and along the stop-banks is across hard packed earth covered with grass or gravel and is easy to bike by all skill levels.
Along the way we visit:

• Grove Mill Winery - who not only have a great selection of wines but also a stunning wetland which has become a haven for native birdlife and one of the region's best contemporary art galleries
• Seresin Estate - an organic winery and olive oil producer owned by reknowned NZ cinematographer Michael Seresin
• Wairau River Winery where we enjoy a long slow lunch in their award-winning restaurant
• Riverlore Gallery where we meet and view the beautiful art of local artist Joanna Scott
• Forrest Estate Wines to sample the final wines of the day.

The tour finishes around 3.30pm and we drive you back to your accommodation.

Price = $250 per person includes bikes, transport to and from accommodation, morning tea and winery restaurant lunch.
